From the piano resource, "The Owl Says Hoo", by William Suit, for mid to upper elementary piano students. Learning good technique at the piano should be a fun experience. These ten songs are from the original vocal book, “The Owl Says Hoo” They have been rewritten as piano solos that are accessible to mid and late elementary students. Also included are the lyrics so that adventurous students can sing along while they are playing. These songs can be used to establish confidence in finger placement and movement of the hand positions. Some of them such as, “Frozen Pine Cone” and “Shooting Star” reinforce the use of the C scale. The chromatic scale is explored in “Hummingbird” while ocatve jumps are covered in the haunting melody of “Snowy Owl.” ©2023. William Suit
